# Penguini vs Pip

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pip at every 3 weeks against Penguini's every 10 months. Penguini's advantage is iOS requirement (8.1 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Penguini ships an update every 10 months, Pip every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
