# tkts vs Broadway Direct

The clearest difference is rating: Broadway Direct at 4.0 against tkts's 3.1. tkts's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Broadway Direct holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 129 and 30 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of tkts's written reviews are positive against 25% of Broadway Direct's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

tkts ships an update every 3 months, Broadway Direct every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
