# Samurai 2 vs Slaughter

The clearest difference is rating: Samurai 2 at 4.8 against Slaughter's 4.4. Samurai 2 also leads on ratings volume (821 vs 47) and chart position (#118 vs unranked). Slaughter's advantage is price ($0.39 vs $2.99) and review sentiment (86% vs 78%). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Samurai 2 costs $2.99 and Slaughter $0.39 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Samurai 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Samurai 2 has 821 ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Samurai 2's written reviews are positive against 86% of Slaughter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Samurai 2 ships an update every 5 months, Slaughter every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
