# Learn Chinese with Hello vs Learn Chinese

The clearest difference is rating: Learn Chinese with Hello at 5.0 against Learn Chinese's 4.5. Learn Chinese's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (82% vs 55%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Learn Chinese with Hello sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Learn Chinese sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Learn Chinese with Hello holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Learn Chinese has 1.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Learn Chinese with Hello's written reviews are positive against 82% of Learn Chinese's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Learn Chinese with Hello ships an update every 4 months, Learn Chinese every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
