# ToonCamera vs ARUrban

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ToonCamera at 86% against ARUrban's 0%. ToonCamera also leads on ratings volume (8.6K vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). ARUrban's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ToonCamera sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and ARUrban sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ARUrban holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ToonCamera has 8.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of ToonCamera's written reviews are positive against 0% of ARUrban's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ToonCamera ships an update every 3 months, ARUrban every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
