# ToonCamera vs ProofCam

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ToonCamera at 86% against ProofCam's 14%. ToonCamera also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (8.6K vs 87). ProofCam's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ToonCamera sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and ProofCam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ToonCamera holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ToonCamera has 8.6K ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of ToonCamera's written reviews are positive against 14% of ProofCam's.

ToonCamera ships an update every 3 months, ProofCam fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
