# ToonCamera vs ComicBook!

The clearest difference is price: ToonCamera at Free against ComicBook!'s $2.99. ToonCamera also leads on ratings volume (8.6K vs 1.4K) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). ComicBook!'s advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and chart position (#49 vs unranked). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

ToonCamera is free to download; ComicBook! costs $2.99 up front. ToonCamera sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and ComicBook! sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for ToonCamera against 4.8 for ComicBook!. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ToonCamera has 8.6K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of ToonCamera's written reviews are positive against 82% of ComicBook!'s.

ToonCamera ships an update every 3 months, ComicBook! every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
