# ToonCamera vs Filmic Pro Editor

The clearest difference is ratings volume: ToonCamera at 8.6K against Filmic Pro Editor's 92. ToonCamera also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). Filmic Pro Editor's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ToonCamera sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Filmic Pro Editor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for ToonCamera against 4.8 for Filmic Pro Editor. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ToonCamera has 8.6K ratings behind it against 92, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 86% and 85% positive.

ToonCamera ships an update every 3 months, Filmic Pro Editor every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
