# Yandex Metro vs GPS

The clearest difference is update cadence: GPS at weekly against Yandex Metro's every 2 months. GPS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (71% vs 53%). Yandex Metro's advantage is ratings volume (855 vs 4) and chart position (#146 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GPS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yandex Metro has 855 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 53% of Yandex Metro's written reviews are positive against 71% of GPS's.

Yandex Metro ships an update every 2 months, GPS weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
