# Decim8 vs SCN

The clearest difference is price: SCN at Free against Decim8's $0.99. SCN also leads on review sentiment (63% vs 52%). Decim8's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 68 months) and rating (3.8 vs 3.4). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

SCN is free to download; Decim8 costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Decim8 holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Decim8 has 149 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Decim8's written reviews are positive against 63% of SCN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Decim8 ships an update weekly, SCN every 68 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
