# Vanguardia vs Latinus

The clearest difference is ads: Vanguardia at none against Latinus's shown. Vanguardia also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (51 vs 17). Latinus's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Latinus holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 51 and 17 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Vanguardia's written reviews are positive against 53% of Latinus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vanguardia ships an update every 2 months, Latinus fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
