# 旺旺中時 vs ETtoday新聞雲

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ETtoday新聞雲 at 45% against 旺旺中時's 13%. 旺旺中時's advantage is rating (3.3 vs 2.9) and ratings volume (117 vs 14). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 旺旺中時 sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and ETtoday新聞雲 sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

旺旺中時 holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 旺旺中時 has 117 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of 旺旺中時's written reviews are positive against 45% of ETtoday新聞雲's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
