# 旺旺中時 vs 民視新聞

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 民視新聞 at none against 旺旺中時's 6. 民視新聞 also leads on review sentiment (33% vs 13%). 旺旺中時's advantage is rating (3.3 vs 2.8) and ratings volume (117 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 旺旺中時 sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. 民視新聞 asks for nothing beyond the download.

旺旺中時 holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 旺旺中時 has 117 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of 旺旺中時's written reviews are positive against 33% of 民視新聞's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

旺旺中時 ships an update monthly, 民視新聞 every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
