# Backgammon Deluxe Go vs Backgammon Friends Online

The clearest difference is rating: Backgammon Friends Online at 4.7 against Backgammon Deluxe Go's 3.5. Backgammon Friends Online also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (6.1K vs 286). Backgammon Deluxe Go's advantage is review sentiment (46% vs 25%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Deluxe Go sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Backgammon Friends Online sells 24 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Friends Online holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon Friends Online has 6.1K ratings behind it against 286, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Backgammon Deluxe Go's written reviews are positive against 25% of Backgammon Friends Online's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backgammon Deluxe Go ships an update every 4 months, Backgammon Friends Online every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
