# Three vs TLJ Pocket Pass

The clearest difference is ads: TLJ Pocket Pass at none against Three's shown. TLJ Pocket Pass also leads on review sentiment (40% vs 18%). Three's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Three holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Three has 1.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of Three's written reviews are positive against 40% of TLJ Pocket Pass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Three ships an update every 3 weeks, TLJ Pocket Pass every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
