# G vs AnyTalk Messenger

The clearest difference is rating: AnyTalk Messenger at 4.4 against G's 3.7. AnyTalk Messenger also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). G's advantage is ratings volume (156 vs 8) and review sentiment (83% vs 73%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. G sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. AnyTalk Messenger asks for nothing beyond the download.

AnyTalk Messenger holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: G has 156 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of G's written reviews are positive against 73% of AnyTalk Messenger's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

G ships an update every 2 months, AnyTalk Messenger every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
