# Oregonlive.com vs Statesman Journal

The clearest difference is monetization model: Statesman Journal at free with in-app purchases against Oregonlive.com's subscription. Statesman Journal also leads on review sentiment (29% vs 16%). Oregonlive.com's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 845). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Oregonlive.com sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Statesman Journal sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
