# 凤凰新闻 vs FT中文网

The clearest difference is monetization model: 凤凰新闻 at free with in-app purchases against FT中文网's subscription. 凤凰新闻 also leads on review sentiment (73% vs 44%). FT中文网's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 凤凰新闻 sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and FT中文网 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FT中文网 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.4K and 1.6K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of 凤凰新闻's written reviews are positive against 44% of FT中文网's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

凤凰新闻 ships an update every 8 days, FT中文网 weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
