# RE.minder vs GPS Point Recorder

The clearest difference is rating: RE.minder at 4.7 against GPS Point Recorder's 4.0. RE.minder also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (808 vs 1). GPS Point Recorder's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RE.minder sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. GPS Point Recorder asks for nothing beyond the download.

RE.minder holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RE.minder has 808 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of RE.minder's written reviews are positive against 100% of GPS Point Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RE.minder ships an update every 5 days, GPS Point Recorder every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
