# LEO Dictionary vs ASCE

The clearest difference is ads: ASCE at none against LEO Dictionary's shown. LEO Dictionary's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LEO Dictionary sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.49 per year and ASCE sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LEO Dictionary ships an update every 3 weeks, ASCE every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
