# truTV vs KAFA FM

The clearest difference is review sentiment: KAFA FM at 71% against truTV's 15%. KAFA FM also leads on ads (none vs shown). truTV's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 19 months). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

truTV holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: truTV has 14K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of truTV's written reviews are positive against 71% of KAFA FM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

truTV ships an update every 3 months, KAFA FM every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
