# truTV vs 1430 KYKN

The clearest difference is rating: truTV at 4.5 against 1430 KYKN's 3.4. truTV also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). 1430 KYKN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (25% vs 15%). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

truTV holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: truTV has 14K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of truTV's written reviews are positive against 25% of 1430 KYKN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
