# truTV vs Performance Racing Network

The clearest difference is rating: truTV at 4.5 against Performance Racing Network's 4.0. truTV also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 13). Performance Racing Network's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

truTV holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: truTV has 14K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of truTV's written reviews are positive against 27% of Performance Racing Network's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

truTV ships an update every 3 months, Performance Racing Network every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
