# truTV vs Willy 98.7 & 1550

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Willy 98.7 & 1550 at 100% against truTV's 15%. truTV's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 15 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

truTV holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: truTV has 14K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of truTV's written reviews are positive against 100% of Willy 98.7 & 1550's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

truTV ships an update every 3 months, Willy 98.7 & 1550 every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
