# truTV vs Destination GO

The clearest difference is ads: Destination GO at none against truTV's shown. Destination GO also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). truTV's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Destination GO holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: truTV has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

truTV ships an update every 3 months, Destination GO every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
