# Daily Press vs Daily Progress

The clearest difference is monetization model: Daily Progress at free with in-app purchases against Daily Press's subscription. Daily Progress also leads on review sentiment (42% vs 24%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Daily Press's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (1K vs 288). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daily Press sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Daily Progress sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $27.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Daily Press against 4.3 for Daily Progress. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1K and 288 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 24% of Daily Press's written reviews are positive against 42% of Daily Progress's.

Daily Press ships an update monthly, Daily Progress every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
