# Gas Giants vs Full Moon Phase

The clearest difference is rating: Full Moon Phase at 4.8 against Gas Giants's 4.2. Full Moon Phase also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (20K vs 25). Gas Giants's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Full Moon Phase sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Gas Giants asks for nothing beyond the download.

Full Moon Phase holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Full Moon Phase has 20K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Gas Giants's written reviews are positive against 77% of Full Moon Phase's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gas Giants ships an update every 6 months, Full Moon Phase monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
