# Calculator₊ vs Calculator Express with Notes

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Calculator₊ at 1.7M against Calculator Express with Notes's 47. Calculator₊ also leads on chart position (#100 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator₊ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Calculator Express with Notes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calculator₊ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator₊ has 1.7M ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Calculator₊'s written reviews are positive against 69% of Calculator Express with Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calculator₊ ships an update every 3 weeks, Calculator Express with Notes monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
