# Calculator₊ vs Timberlog

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Calculator₊ at 1.7M against Timberlog's 36. Calculator₊ also leads on chart position (#81 vs unranked) and device support (5 vs 3). Timberlog's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (78% vs 63%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator₊ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Timberlog sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Calculator₊ against 4.6 for Timberlog. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator₊ has 1.7M ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Calculator₊'s written reviews are positive against 78% of Timberlog's.

Calculator₊ ships an update every 3 weeks, Timberlog every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
