# Rect Clock vs Night Clock

The clearest difference is price: Rect Clock at Free against Night Clock's $1.99. Rect Clock also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 39 months) and ratings volume (168 vs 1). Night Clock's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). On device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Rect Clock is free to download; Night Clock costs $1.99 up front. Rect Clock sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Night Clock asks for nothing beyond the download.

Night Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rect Clock has 168 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Rect Clock's written reviews are positive against 50% of Night Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
