# Group SMS+ vs Mass Sender

The clearest difference is rating: Group SMS+ at 4.7 against Mass Sender's 4.2. Group SMS+ also leads on ratings volume (4.1K vs 20). Mass Sender's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 65%) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Group SMS+ sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Mass Sender sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Group SMS+ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Group SMS+ has 4.1K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Group SMS+'s written reviews are positive against 80% of Mass Sender's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Group SMS+ ships an update fortnightly, Mass Sender weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
