# VRS Auskunft vs myVRN

The clearest difference is rating: myVRN at 4.6 against VRS Auskunft's 4.2. myVRN also leads on ratings volume (169 vs 5). VRS Auskunft's advantage is review sentiment (53% vs 29%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

myVRN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: myVRN has 169 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of VRS Auskunft's written reviews are positive against 29% of myVRN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VRS Auskunft ships an update fortnightly, myVRN every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
