# Edhita vs Text Editor

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Edhita at 60% against Text Editor's 22%. Edhita also leads on rating (3.5 vs 3.3) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 10 months). Text Editor's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Edhita holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Edhita has 22 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Edhita's written reviews are positive against 22% of Text Editor's.

Edhita ships an update every 4 months, Text Editor every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
