# Flightview vs Guidebook

The clearest difference is rating: Guidebook at 5.0 against Flightview's 3.7. Guidebook also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2). Flightview's advantage is ratings volume (6.4K vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flightview sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Guidebook asks for nothing beyond the download.

Guidebook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flightview has 6.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flightview ships an update every 3 weeks, Guidebook every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
