# Today Daily Devotion vs The Upper Room

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Today Daily Devotion at none against The Upper Room's 12. Today Daily Devotion also leads on review sentiment (55% vs 38%). The Upper Room's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 34). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Upper Room sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Today Daily Devotion asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Upper Room holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Upper Room has 2.5K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Today Daily Devotion's written reviews are positive against 38% of The Upper Room's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
