# myBuick vs Hopevale

The clearest difference is ads: Hopevale at none against myBuick's shown. Hopevale also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). myBuick's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (118K vs 15). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

myBuick holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: myBuick has 118K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of myBuick's written reviews are positive against 50% of Hopevale's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

myBuick ships an update fortnightly, Hopevale every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
