# ExplosionMotor vs Cards That Talk

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ExplosionMotor at 100% against Cards That Talk's 50%. Cards That Talk's advantage is price (Free vs $0.99) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 39 months). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Cards That Talk is free to download; ExplosionMotor costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cards That Talk holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cards That Talk has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of ExplosionMotor's written reviews are positive against 50% of Cards That Talk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
