# Friendly Social Browser vs Session

The clearest difference is monetization model: Session at free against Friendly Social Browser's free with in-app purchases. Session also leads on review sentiment (61% vs 48%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Friendly Social Browser's advantage is ratings volume (84K vs 5.2K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Friendly Social Browser sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Session sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Friendly Social Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Friendly Social Browser has 84K ratings behind it against 5.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Friendly Social Browser's written reviews are positive against 61% of Session's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Friendly Social Browser ships an update every 2 weeks, Session fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
