# SpareRoom vs Decody

The clearest difference is ads: SpareRoom at none against Decody's shown. SpareRoom also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpareRoom sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Decody sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
