# Countdown Me vs Countdown

The clearest difference is ads: Countdown Me at none against Countdown's shown. Countdown's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (24K vs 17). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Me sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per year and Countdown sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 24K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 81% and 80% positive.

Countdown Me ships an update every 7 months, Countdown weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
