# Brainwave vs SpeecherPro

The clearest difference is rating: SpeecherPro at 4.5 against Brainwave's 2.0. SpeecherPro also leads on ratings volume (10 vs 1). Brainwave's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 53 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Brainwave costs $0.99 and SpeecherPro $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SpeecherPro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SpeecherPro has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Brainwave ships an update every 3 months, SpeecherPro every 53 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
