# Rod's Aviation Book Samples vs EEPP

The clearest difference is rating: EEPP at 4.8 against Rod's Aviation Book Samples's 4.0. EEPP also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (51 vs 1). Rod's Aviation Book Samples's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EEPP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Rod's Aviation Book Samples asks for nothing beyond the download.

EEPP holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EEPP has 51 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Rod's Aviation Book Samples's written reviews are positive against 94% of EEPP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rod's Aviation Book Samples ships an update every 8 months, EEPP every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
