# Guitar Pro vs Drumstik

The clearest difference is rating: Guitar Pro at 3.6 against Drumstik's 1.0. Guitar Pro also leads on price ($6.99 vs $13.99) and ratings volume (902 vs 1). Drumstik's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On review sentiment, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Guitar Pro costs $6.99 and Drumstik $13.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Guitar Pro holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guitar Pro has 902 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Guitar Pro's written reviews are positive against 53% of Drumstik's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guitar Pro ships an update every 2 months, Drumstik every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
