# Icon Skins & Frames vs Next Wallpaper

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Next Wallpaper at none against Icon Skins & Frames's 2. Next Wallpaper also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). Icon Skins & Frames's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 64). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Icon Skins & Frames sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months. Next Wallpaper asks for nothing beyond the download.

Next Wallpaper holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Icon Skins & Frames has 1.7K ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Icon Skins & Frames's written reviews are positive against 77% of Next Wallpaper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
