# Weber® iGrill® vs Boiled Egg Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Weber® iGrill® at every 2 months against Boiled Egg Timer's every 9 months. Weber® iGrill® also leads on ratings volume (30K vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). Boiled Egg Timer's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Boiled Egg Timer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weber® iGrill® has 30K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Weber® iGrill®'s written reviews are positive against 43% of Boiled Egg Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Weber® iGrill® ships an update every 2 months, Boiled Egg Timer every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
