# Weber® iGrill® vs SteakMate

The clearest difference is rating: Weber® iGrill® at 4.7 against SteakMate's 3.6. Weber® iGrill® also leads on ratings volume (30K vs 8) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). SteakMate's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 50%) and iOS requirement (13.0.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Weber® iGrill® holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weber® iGrill® has 30K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Weber® iGrill®'s written reviews are positive against 70% of SteakMate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Weber® iGrill® ships an update every 2 months, SteakMate every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
