# Digimarc Discover vs M

The clearest difference is rating: M at 4.6 against Digimarc Discover's 3.8. M also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 53). Digimarc Discover's advantage is review sentiment (48% vs 36%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

M holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: M has 1.2K ratings behind it against 53, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Digimarc Discover's written reviews are positive against 36% of M's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Digimarc Discover ships an update every 3 months, M every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
