# PDI E vs GMA News

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GMA News at 55% against PDI E's 16%. GMA News also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months). PDI E's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDI E sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. GMA News asks for nothing beyond the download.

PDI E holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GMA News has 1.7K ratings behind it against 127, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of PDI E's written reviews are positive against 55% of GMA News's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PDI E ships an update every 7 months, GMA News every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
