# Rockbot vs KW3

The clearest difference is rating: Rockbot at 4.7 against KW3's 4.0. Rockbot also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (67K vs 12). KW3's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 39%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rockbot holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rockbot has 67K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Rockbot's written reviews are positive against 60% of KW3's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rockbot ships an update every 2 months, KW3 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
