# Projectionist vs Emburse Professional

The clearest difference is price: Emburse Professional at Free against Projectionist's $5.99. Emburse Professional also leads on ratings volume (13K vs 3) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Projectionist's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 37%) and chart position (#173 vs unranked). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Emburse Professional is free to download; Projectionist costs $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Emburse Professional holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Emburse Professional has 13K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Projectionist's written reviews are positive against 37% of Emburse Professional's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
